Every Grain Holds a Story—We Keep It Honest

🌿 The Cold-Pressed Way

Cold-pressed oils are extracted using mechanical pressure without applying external heat. The temperature stays below 40–50°C, which helps preserve natural antioxidants, vitamins, and flavour.

💚 Why it matters:

  • Retains the oil’s original aroma and nutrients

  • No chemicals, no solvents — just pure oil

  • Great for light sautéing, salad dressings, or drizzling

Think of cold-pressed as your oil in its “raw, real” form — closer to what nature intended.

🪵 The Wood-Pressed Tradition

Wood-pressed (or kachi ghani / mara chekku) oil is the traditional Indian method of extraction. Seeds are slowly crushed using a wooden churner, keeping the temperature low and the process gentle.

💚 Why it matters:

  • The wooden pestle doesn’t heat up or react with oil

  • Preserves healthy fats, minerals, and enzymes

  • Rich, earthy aroma and deeper colour

It’s basically “cold-pressed,” but the grandmother-approved version — traditional, slow, and full of soul.

🥥 The First Press

“Virgin” oil means it’s the first extraction — pure and unrefined, with no bleaching, deodorising, or chemical refining. Virgin oils, especially virgin coconut or olive oil, are closest to the raw ingredient.

💚 Why it matters:

  • 100% natural, chemical-free extraction

  • Retains aroma, flavour, and antioxidants

  • Ideal for raw use, skincare, or gentle cooking

Virgin oils are like the first squeeze of fresh juice — vibrant, pure, and alive.
